Day 01: Arrive Delhi

On arrival in Delhi, you will be welcomed by a representative and transfer to your hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight at hotel

Day 02: Delhi

This morning, there will be a welcome orientation meeting with your Tour Directtor. Later, enjoy a tour of Old Delhi, an ancient historical city with more than 60,000 identifiable monuments. Visit the Memorial of Mahatma Gandhi and the Jama Masjid, India’s largest mosque. Enjoy exploring the Old Delhi on a cycle rickshaw that takes you through the narrow and bustling lanes of ChandiChowk. After lunch, in New Delhi you’ll see the Birla Temple, the India Gate,  drive past the Parliament House and the Presidential Palace. Enjoy a visit to the Gandhi Smriti which is formerly known as Birla House and is a museum dedicated to Mahatma Gandhi where he spent the last 144 days of his life. The tour continues with a visit to Humayun’s Tomb, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and a landmark in the development of Mughal architecture. The significance of Humayun’s Tomb lies in the fact that it was the first garden-tomb in India.

Day 03 Delhi / Agra (205kms / 4hrsapprox)

This morning after breakfast visit QutubMinarfor a photo opportunity at the UNESCO World Heritage QutabMinar, the world’s tallest brick minaret. 

drive to Agra, visit Sikandra, The Tomb of Akbar the Great is an important Mughal architectural masterpiece, built 1605–1613, set in 48 Ha of grounds in Sikandra, a suburb of Agra. On arrival in Agra check in at hotel and balance day at leisure.

Day 04: Agra

On the 4th day of the tour post breakfast, leave for  a four hour long drive to Thekkady. While on drive to Thekkady enjoy the drive as the road winds through the thick jungles and rich plantation. Upon arrival, check in at one of our enlisted hotels in the city. In the afternoon proceed to Periyar Wildlife Tiger Reserve to enjoy the jeep safari.  Periyar is a veritable paradise of elephants. Scores of them can be witnessed bathing and swimming here. Later in the evening you may enjoy boat ride at Periyar Lake. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 05: Agra / FatehpurSikri / Jaipur (235 kms / 5 hrs 30 minsapprox)

Following breakfast, drive to Jaipur en-route visit FatehpurSikri: A fascinating ghost town, lies a little beyond Agra the deserted Red sandstone city that was built by Emperor Akbar as his capital. Set like a jewel in a courtyard of pink sandstone is the marble tomb of the Saint Salim Chisti, enclosed by delicately carved marble screens. After visit, continue your drive to Jaipur. On arrival check in at hotel.Evening at leisure. Overnight at hotel

Day 06: Jaipur

Morning, visit to AmberFort, the ascent to the Fort will be on   Elephant back / Jeeps,Amber Fort: 11 kms from Jaipur – A marvelous example of Rajput architecture with its terraces and ramparts reflected in the Maota Lake below. The magnificent old citadel, a labyrinth of massive walls and towers, shrouds an exquisite marble palace, pillared and carved glimmering with a million tiny mirrors, which create tantalising reflection effect.  The ascent to the fort is on gaily caparisoned elephants.

 

Afternoon, visit Jaipur City: – Palace of the Winds, a five-storied structure of pink sandstone with semi-octagonal and delicately honeycombed windows overlooking the main street of the old city. It was built in 1799 so that veiled royal woman could peer down unseen by the world through its 593 stone screens. City Palace & Observatory. The City Palace in the heart of the old city is a blend of Rajasthani and Mughal architecture.  The center of the palace is a seven-storied building called Chandra Palace, with fine views over the gardens and the city. Next top the City Palace is the Solar Observatory – an astronomical treasure house, with solar device that gives accurate predictions till date. JantarMantar (Observatory) – an accurate Observatory built in 1726 AD: HawaMahal (Palace of Winds) – a five storeyed wonder with a spectacular pyramidal facade and overhanging windows with latticed screens, domes and spires.

Day 07: Jaipur / Delhi 252 km / approx. 5 ½ hrs)

Following breakfast, drive to Delhi.

 

Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to International Airport for flight back to .
